Muslim Network

Allah creates all of us perfectly (Qur'an 27:88, Qur'an 32:7, Qur'an 40:64, Qur'an 64:3) and this

includes our sons. In addition, the Qur'an makes no mention of circumcision. The following

resources are by and for Muslim families looking at the subject of circumcision.

We choose to keep our future sons intact, and allow them the choice of whether or not they will be circumcised as adult men. We serve to educate on the subject of circumcision as it pertains to Islam and the teachings of the Qur'an. We exist to raise awareness of Islam and genital autonomy issues, and to provide a location for Muslim parents to discuss the subject with each other.

Quranic Path

In numerous verses of the Qur'an, Allah tells us that He has created everything, including human beings, in the most perfect form. In the following verse, Allah explicitly states this with regards to the human creation, "We have indeed created man in the 'best of moulds.'" (Qur'an 95:4) This means when a baby leaves the mother's womb, he or she is in the most perfect of shape down to the finest detail. Nothing needs alteration.

The Koran against circumcision (and excision)

https://www.academia.edu/5412690/The_Koran_against_circumcision_and_excision_updated_09.20.2017_

On the one hand, the Qur'an does not prescribe either circumcision or excision; it prefers ignoring them and does not mention them once. So it is possible to be Muslim without being circumcised. On the contrary, the pure and authentic source of Islam bans "altering the creation of God" and circumcision. Circumcision does not figure into the 5 Pillars of Islam. It is not prescribed by Islamic law.
